End Plastic Pollution International Collaborative (EPPIC)

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ON PLASTIC WASTE SOLUTIONS

The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and the International Union for Conservation Nature (IUCN) wish to share an exciting development and new funding opportunity!

The End Plastic Pollution International Collaborative (EPPIC) is an international public-private partnership that seeks to galvanize global action to significantly reduce plastic pollution and advance solutions to enhance circularity across the plastics lifecycle. To support those goals, the EPPIC Grant Program provides financial resources to in-country projects that align with EPPIC’s mission and focus on location-appropriate upstream and midstream interventions to end plastic pollution. The Program is implemented in Kenya in coordination with NEMA.

The EPPIC Grant Program has launched four new requests for proposals (RFPs) across Sub-Saharan Africa including Kenya. The Redesign, Reuse, and Refill in Kenya request for proposals (RFP) seeks to fund projects focused on materials and packaging redesign, and reuse/refill solutions for any sector or industry in Kenya. If you are interested in applying, please review the attached document which describes the RFP focus, outlines and instructions on how to apply for the grants.

You can visit this webpage to learn more about EPPIC, the Grant Program, and access the RFP details for Kenya. Feel free to reach out to grants@oceanfdn.org with questions or to get involved in the EPPIC Grant Program!

Proposals are due on 27 October 2024.
