Kenya’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations, enforced by NEMA, require all manufacturers and importers to manage full life-cycle of their products including post-consumer waste.

Businesses must pay mandatory EPR fees, register  with a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) scheme.

Importers are required to obtain EPR import certificates through the National Electronic Single Window System (NESW)
